About Scan Tube Steel
Family-owned and operated since 1978, Scan Tube Steel is North America’s leading distributor of stainless steel solid bar and hollow bar/mechanical tube. For more than four decades, we’ve supplied manufacturers across industries such as energy, oil & gas, food and dairy, medical, automotive, nuclear, military, and aerospace with the raw stainless materials they need to build with confidence.
Our on-hand inventory includes Duplex 2205, 17-4 PH, 304, 316, and 410 grades, in sizes up to 20″ diameter. All are DFARS-compliant and ready for immediate use. To keep production moving, we cut in-house and offer 1- to 2-day delivery on stock items.
Beyond rapid turnaround distribution, we support custom projects requiring unique grades, shapes, or specialized sourcing. With operations in Canada, the U.S., and China, our ISO 9001:2015–certified processes, global reach, and longstanding reputation for integrity and responsive service ensure customers receive both the quality and reliability they expect.
The Story Behind Scan Tube Steel
Scan Tube was founded in 1978 by Aydin Eryuzlu, whose journey began in Turkey. He was the first in his family to secure a career outside the military when he joined a Swedish steel corporation as a salesperson. His early success in opening new markets eventually brought him to Canada, where he established Scan Tube Steel.
What began as a 4,000 sq. ft. warehouse has grown into a multinational company, specializing in stainless steel with both distribution strength and custom project expertise.
1978
Scan Tube Steel Services Ltd. established its headquarters in Canada in a 4,000 square foot warehouse.
Established subsidiary Nebetco Stainless Inc. in the USA.
1981

Built our 40,000 square foot facility in Mississauga, ON.
Established subsidiary Scan Tube Technology Specialty Steel Co., Ltd. in China.
